We are Egyptian - we know good Egyptian food and this was it! Amazing Egyptian food that's pretty hard to find - like koshari and mombar. Service was amazing - we loved Mona! It was clean and inviting with good background music. We will be back! We highly recommend checking it out!

Finally got around to ordering takeout from here tonight and the family was really impressed with everything we tried. All of the food was super flavorful and fresh -- from the authentic tasting hawawshi and chicken shawarma platter, to their salads, sauces and rice. Service was friendly and fast given how much we got. Will definitely be making a point to stop in more often from now on!

A hidden gem. The Mom falafel platter included fried eggplant, rice, salad and fries. The falafel was made with dried fava beans instead of chickpeas and was soft and moist. The hummus was silky smooth and served with olive oil on top. Try the Egyptian fruit-flavored bottled sodas while you're here. We will definitely come back when we are next in the area.

I am very pleased to know the food MUM Mediterranean offers is VERY good and fresh. Ordered a chicken kebab on pita with a side of tabbouleh salad to take to work and it was SO good. I am mad I didn't get another order for dinner cuz it was that tasty. The tabbouleh was very fresh but I do agree with another reviewer regarding them turning down the flavor to accommodate the "American palate". Needed to add a tiny bit of salt and pepper to give it more of a bite but nevertheless I will DEF be back to order other things. Also: this place is pristine which is always a plus and a MUST!

Great Egyptian food with many dishes that aren't found generally. Excellent koshari (better than Zooba's in my opinion), very good falafel, and good grape leaves. Excited to return to try their hawashi and other dishes!

This is one of the few Egyptian restaurants in the city - now that I live off the M line, I decided to make the trek out to Fresh Pond Road one rainy evening. I had eaten a fairly large lunch, so didn't have room to sample as much as I might otherwise have liked. But I ordered a koshary and falafel platter to share with my girlfriend - both hefty portions. The koshary was excellent. I've had this dish a few times, and they had just the right mix of crispy fried onions, lentils, macaroni, spaghetti, and a sweet-ish tomato sauce. I would come back for this alone. The falafel platter was just okay - I generally really like Egyptian falafel, which has fava beans added to the mixture, but the version here was extremely dry, and could have used some more supplementary sauces. The rice pilaf it was served with was delicious though.
